The Smartest Booth at HITEC 2026 Was a Putting Green

At HITEC 2026 in San Antonio, TAG built a mini golf experience into our booth. Attendees loved it, lined up to putt, brought colleagues back, and by midweek “the booth with the putting green” had become shorthand on the show floor. But the golf was not the activation. The booking was.

TAG builds ALBIE, a booking engine that does not stop at rooms: it books activities too. Tee times, spa sessions, excursions, experiences. Instead of telling people ALBIE books activities, we let them live it. Walk up to the TAG booth, book your round through ALBIE, and play. In under a minute, an attendee goes through the full guest booking journey. The putting green was not next to the demo. The putting green was the demo.

Tradeshow floors are brutal environments for software. Every booth has a screen. Every screen has a dashboard. After the tenth walkthrough, attendees stop absorbing. Nobody forgets a product they physically experienced. The conversations that followed started in exactly the right place: not “so, what does ALBIE do?” but “wait, so my guests could book our beach cabanas like this?” That is a prospect selling themselves.

Behind every booking is a payment, and that is where RIKER, TAG’s payment infrastructure platform, comes in. Booking through ALBIE, payment through RIKER: the full ecosystem in one activation.

•  Start with the product truth. ALBIE books activities. What is the most physical, participatory expression of that? Mini golf.

•  Compress the guest journey into sixty seconds. The most persuasive thing at a tradeshow is letting a prospect experience their own customer’s journey.

•  Make it participatory, not decorative. A beautiful booth gets a glance. An interactive one gets ten minutes.

•  Let the crowd do the marketing. Every photo, story, and tag extends the booth far beyond its square footage.

“Anything but Ordinary” is not just a tagline. It is a design principle. TAG Brand Experience designs activations that turn what your brand does into something people can step into.
