Payments Team Leader

The Anything Group LLC is a full-service digital, marketing, software development and provision, branding, website development and reputation agency, with a full in-house production and filming studio. TAG performs Emotive Engagement and Connection Marketing services across the hospitality, luxury brands and products, fashion, retail and streamed media worlds.
Mission & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the operational strategy for the Payments function, ensuring efficient, scalable, and reliable payment operations aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of payment implementations and integrations across clients, properties, gateways, processors, acquiring banks, POS systems, and other payment partners.
- Oversee the performance and development of the company’s payment infrastructure, identifying opportunities to improve capabilities, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Build and manage relationships with payment providers, processors, acquiring banks, gateways, and technology partners, ensuring strong performance, commercial alignment, and timely resolution of issues.
- Oversee transaction flows, settlements, payouts, reconciliation, commissions, fees, and exception management, working closely with Finance and other relevant teams to ensure accuracy and operational control.
- Ensure effective processes for merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, underwriting, payment risk, chargebacks, and other operational requirements, in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, operational controls, and reporting frameworks to measure Payments performance and provide clear visibility into transaction activity, partner performance, implementations, and financial outcomes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual workarounds, automate operational activities, and increase the scalability and efficiency of the Payments function.
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and other teams to ensure alignment on payment initiatives, implementations, client requirements, and business priorities.
- Lead, develop, and support the Payments team by establishing clear ownership, priorities, processes, and performance expectations.
- Evaluate new payment technologies, providers, and alternative payment methods, including global payments, multi-currency processing, digital wallets, BNPL, and other emerging solutions.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership regarding Payments performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

Working conditions & Benefits
- Full-time, working from 9am – 5pm PST Monday to Friday.
